PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to present relevant past examination images when a treatment instrument is used in an endoscopic examination.SOLUTION: An image management system 100 associates an examination image taken of the inside of a body of a patient in the past, information indicating a type of a treatment instrument included in the examination image, and patient identification information for identifying the patient, and records them. When a processing device 14 identifies the type of the treatment instrument used in an endoscopic examination from an observation image of the inside of the body of the patient taken with an endoscope 12, the image management system 100 identifies an examination image of the same patient in which the treatment instrument of the type identified by the processing device 14 is included from a plurality of past examination images.
