PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional component measuring device in which since multiple gaps and depressions are provided in a front end cover member, dirt adhered to the front cover member or the like is difficult to remove, and the dirt sometimes gets into the device.SOLUTION: A blood sugar meter 1 that is one example of the component measuring device for measuring components in blood includes a housing 2 having a body part 11 which can be held by a person, the body part including an opening part 29 at one end thereof a collecting tool installation part 43 provided in the opening part, to which a collecting tool (chip) 50 housing a specimen is detachably installed and an eject member 35 slidably attached to the housing, which pushes the collecting tool installed to the collecting tool installation part by sliding to separate it from the collecting tool installation part.
