PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective tube cutting jig that, after a protective tube is cut, enables an optical fiber to be pulled out of the protective tube cutting jig without damaging the optical fiber.SOLUTION: A protective tube cutting jig 10 comprises: a second operation member 21 provided with a tube reception part 22 and a first operation member 11 provided with a cutting blade 12. The tube reception part 22 and the cutting blade 12 are operated so as to approach to or separate from each other. A tube pressing projection 16 is provided on one side-face side of the cutting blade 12. In cutting a tube, the protective tube incorporating an optical fiber is set on the tube reception part 22, and the protective tube cutting jig 10 is rotated one turn around the protective tube in a state where the tube reception part 22 and the cutting blade 12 approach to each other, and thereafter the optical fiber is pulled out of the protective tube. On that occasion, since the tube pressing projection 16 presses the protective tube on an optical fiber side, the cutting blade 12 causes no damage to the optical fiber.
