The prosthetic element (10 10.1) enables the stapes footplate to be connected to the foot of a middle ear ossicular prosthesis (30 40 50). The prosthetic connection element (10 10.1) is of biocompatible material and forms part of the foot or is connected or connectable to this latter, and comprises a body (12) provided with a flat surface (14) intended to rest on the footplate and having an area sufficient to prevent reabsorption of the footplate osseous tissue as a result of the pressure which the ossicular prosthesis exerts on the footplate. The prosthetic element (10 10.1) comprises at least two projections (16) intended to come into contact with the footplate before the footplate comes into contact with the flat surface (14). The contact pressure exerted by each projection (16) on the footplate is adapted to cause reabsorption of the footplate osseous tissue with consequent penetration of the projections (16) into the footplate until contact between the flat surface (14) and the footplate surface is achieved.
