PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subjective ophthalmic device capable of accurately measuring a visual function of an eye to be examined precisely without inviting confusion of an examinee by seeing a visual target through an optical element unnecessary for examination to be performed.
SOLUTION: A glance shielding means for preventing visual recognition of a visual target 11 by the eye 13 to be examined through each of lenses 32 placed on a visual axis of the eye 13 to be examined which sees the visual target 11 presented by a visual target presentation device 14 is provided. A CPU 46 for controlling operation of the glance shielding means operates the glance shielding means sometime from when the lens 32a already placed on the visual axis starts moving from the visual axis to when a new lens 32b is placed on the visual axis.
