PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical instrument having a simple configuration and defining a spread width of working parts smaller than a spread width of operating parts.SOLUTION: A surgical instrument includes a pair of components 2 that are connected so as to intersect with each other at a rotational fulcrum 1. Each of the pair of components 2 includes a working part 3 formed at a tip end side of the rotational fulcrum 1, and an operating part 4 formed at a rear end side of the rotational fulcrum 1, where the working part 3 is opened/closed in response to opening/closing of the operating part 4.
