FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dermatology, and can be used for cryogenic treatment of onychomycosis. Local cryotherapy is exposed to pathologically changed nail plates and skin of periungual basic and lateral beams. Applicator – a wooden stick with length of 25–30 cm with tightly fixed on its end cotton plug with length of 7–10 cm – is immersed for 10–15 seconds in a thermos bottle pre-filled with liquid nitrogen at temperature of -190 °C from Dewar vessel with volume of 16 l through overflow device. Then it is placed parallel to surface of nail plates and skin of beams and with continuous rotary movements with pressing move along processed section for 15 seconds. Procedure is repeated 3 times with break for 60 seconds with frequency of 1 time a day or every second day or once a week throughout the therapeutic course of 14–28 procedures depending on the extent of the disease and severity of the disease.EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness in onychomycosis by accelerating the removal of the injured part of the nail plates, improving blood circulation and eliminating the skin inflammation of the periungual beams.1 cl, 2 exИзобретение относится к медицине, а именно к дерматологии, и может быть использовано для криогенного лечения онихомикоза.
