The present invention relates to an external device communicating with an internal device and a diagnosis apparatus using the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the external device includes: a communications unit which is located outside a human body, controls an internal device moving inside a human body, and communicates with the internal device； a location measuring unit which processes a signal received from the internal device to measure the location of the internal device； and a control unit which generates a control signal to control the internal device based on the location of the internal device.본 발명은 체내 장비와 통신하는 체외 장비 및 그를 이용한 진단 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 체외 장비는 체외에 위치하여 체내에서 이동하는 체내 장비를 제어하며, 상기 체내 장비와 통신하는 통신부； 상기 체내 장비로부터 수신된 신호를 처리하여 상기 체내 장비의 위치를 측정하는 위치 측정부； 및 상기 체내 장비의 위치를 기반으로 상기 체내 장비를 제어하기 위한 제어 신호를 생성하는 제어부；를 포함할 수 있다.
