PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of informing a user of abnormality when charge of a secondary battery mounted on an electric vehicle is not normally performed.SOLUTION: The vehicle control device is mounted on an electric vehicle having: a charger for charging a battery by connection between a commercial AC power source and a charge plug； and a motor driven by electric power supplied from the battery. The vehicle control device includes: a power supply switch capable of switching, according to operation by a user, states between an ON state of enabling supply of electric power from the battery to the motor, and an OFF state of enabling charge of the battery from the commercial AC power source； and an administration controller for, on condition that the power supply switch is in the ON state, and the charge plug and the commercial AC power source are connected to each other, performing switching notification control for notifying the user to switch the power supply switch to the OFF state.【課題】電動車両に搭載された二次電池の充電が正常に行われていない場合に、その旨をユーザに報知することができる車両制御装置を提供すること。【解決手段】商用交流電源と充電プラグとの接続によってバッテリに電力を充電する充電器と、バッテリから供給される電力により駆動するモータとを備えた電動車両に搭載される車両制御装置は、バッテリからモータに電力を供給可能にするＯＮ状態と商用交流電源からバッテリに電力を充電可能にするＯＦＦ状態とがユーザの操作に応じて切り替えられる電源スイッチと、電源スイッチがＯＮ状態で充電プラグと商用交流電源とが接続されていることを条件に、電源スイッチをＯＦＦ状態に切り替える旨を報知するための切替報知制御を行う統括コントローラと、を備える。【選択図】図２
