Provided is a wheelchair that can be operated readily with either the left or right hand. The invention comprises: left and right handrims； a rotary shaft for transmitting rotational force generated by rotating a handrim on one of the sides to the wheel on the opposite side via a drive mechanism； and a wheel hub for transmitting the rotational force generated by rotating the handrim on the one of the sides to the wheel on the same side via the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism comprises: a left-right pair of sensors respectively disposed on the outer surface of each of the handrims； a first non-excitation type electromagnetic clutch disposed on the right side of the wheelchair that is for transmitting rotational force to the right wheel； and a second non-excitation type electromagnetic clutch disposed on the right side or the left side of the wheelchair that is for transmitting rotational force to the wheel on the opposite side, and a third non-excitation type electromagnetic clutch for transmitting rotational force to the left wheel.L'invention concerne un fauteuil roulant qui peut être facilement actionné avec la main gauche ou la main droite.
