PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure information on a measurement target by removing unnecessary components such as a body motion.SOLUTION: A measuring instrument comprises: light emission means (201) for irradiating a measurement target (500) with light first light reception means (211) and second light reception means (212) for receiving return light from the measurement target (500) irradiated with the light and calculation means (320) for calculating information relating to the measurement target on the basis of the difference between sum signal of light received by the first light reception means and that received by the second light reception means and the difference signal between both of the lights.
