PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bag body for greening and vegetation, capable of enabling the greening, vegetation and protection method of a slope of a shallow water region such as a stream and a lake for a dam by a comparatively easy equipment and method for construction, and further to provide the greening, vegetation and protection method by using the bag body. SOLUTION: A box-shaped main body 2 formed by a string body having a high strength such as a synthetic resin filament is charged and filled with a soil 28 having rhizomes of a hygrophyte, an emerging plant, etc., mixed therewith by a backhoe. A corrosion-resistant fiber mat 30 which includes seeds of a plant mixed therewith is installed on the upper layer thereof to provide the objective bag body for the greening and vegetation. The obtained bag body is aged until the rhizome and the seeds are germinated, and a prescribed growth degree is accomplished, and the aged bag body is arranged on the face of the slope of the shallow water region after previously finishing the ground maintenance by a crawler crane, etc.
