PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance flowability and compression moldability of water-soluble saccharide with poor compression moldability thereby to make it suitable as an excipient for a compressed preparation rapidly disintegrable in the oral cavity, and to develop a compressed preparation rapidly disintegrable in the oral cavity that has appropriate hardness and exhibits excellent rapid disintegrability by using the same.SOLUTION: Flowability and compression moldability of water-soluble saccharide with poor compression moldability is enhanced by coating the water-soluble saccharide with xanthan gum.
