PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milk concentrate in which the milk flavor is not impaired while the thermal stability is ensured, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing milk concentrate according to the present invention comprises a pH adjustment step, a first concentration step, a first dilution step, a second concentration step, a second dilution step and a third concentration step. In the pH adjustment step, the pH of a raw milk is adjusted within a range of from 5.5 or more to less than 6.5 to prepare a pH adjusted raw milk. In the first milk concentrate step, the pH adjusted raw milk is subjected to ultrafiltration treatment to prepare a first milk concentrate. In the first dilution step, water having a mass equal to or greater than 0.6 times the mass of the first milk concentrate is added to it to prepare a first diluted product. In the second concentration step, the first diluted product is subjected to ultrafiltration treatment to prepare a second milk concentrate. In the second dilution step, water having a mass equal to or greater than 0.6 times the mass of the second milk concentrate is added to it to prepare a second diluted product.
