PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat capable of reducing the burden on the fingers of a hand, gripping both of a double-bearing reel and the reel seat.SOLUTION: This reel seat is provided by forming right and left protruding surface parts 7E that protrude in the lateral directions, and having the protruded end 7a protrude in the right and left protruding surface parts 7E in the lateral directions from the outer circumferential surface of a fixed hood 5. Over the right and left protruding surface parts 7E and a thumb-resting peripheral part 7G, positioned on a reverse side to a reel leg-loaded part-presenting side by putting a rod axial center X in the middle, a swollen surface part 7F that swells in the outside diameter direction is arranged.
