PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber for an absorbent article, the absorber that can be deformed to follow a body type of a wearer and prevents a surface from being deformed in a waving manner.SOLUTION: A method of producing an absorber 1 for an absorbent article of the present invention has a surface 19as of an anvil 19a and a blade 19cb projecting from a peripheral surface 19cs, and comprises a cut step of incising a first surface FF of the absorber semi-finished product while compressing the absorber semi-finished product by passing an absorber semi-finished product 1w between a peripheral surface of a rotating cutter roll 19c and itself.
