The device has a drive chain equipped with a support (12) for supporting a product to be transported. The support is rotatably mounted around an axis that is extended perpendicular to a displacement direction of the chain. A static or dynamic roll band (13) controls rotation of the support. An urging unit urges the roll band against the support to generate spin torque on the support by friction. The dynamic roll band comprises a belt that is actuated by a driving unit.
