PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anemia-preventing composition which is excellent in safety and allows daily ingestion and intake over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The anemia-preventing composition includes fucoidan as an active component which is contained in brown algae and is a sulfated polysaccharide containing sulfated fucose as a constituent sugar. The fucoidan contained in the anemia-preventing composition as an active component is a substance which has long been eaten and has no problem even if it is daily taken over a long period of time.
