The invention relates to improved methods for the production of patient-specific medical devices such as patient-specific (surgical) guides, orthoses and prostheses based on unique patient-specific identifiers, where the manufactured patient-specific medical device is rejected or accepted on the basis of a comparison between geometrical dimensions of the device and the same geometrical dimensions in patient-specific images.
