The extract is administered to an aquatic environment for inhibiting the bacterial growth ofAeromonas hydrophilaandVibrio vulnificustherein. The extract is manufactured by a method which comprises: providing a sample ofGlossogyne tenuifolia, extracting the sample ofGlossogyne tenuifoliawith 60-95% ethanol in a weight-volume of 1: 3-1: 10 at 25-70℃ for 24 hours to obtain an extracting liquid and condensing the extracting liquid to obtain the extract.一種香茹草萃取物用於抑制親水性產氣單胞菌及創傷弧菌生長之用途,係將該香茹草萃取物施用於一水生環境,以抑制該水生環境中的親水性產氣單胞菌及創傷弧菌之生長,其中,該香茹草萃取物之製備方法係包含:提供一香茹草;以重量體積比為1:3~1:10混合該香茹草與60~95%乙醇,並於25~70℃進行萃取24小時,以獲得一香茹草萃取液;及將該香茹草萃取液進行濃縮,以獲得該香茹草萃取物。
