PURPOSE: A vegetation block and a building greening system using the same are provided to effectively supply water necessary for the growth of bryophyte. CONSTITUTION: A water absorber(30) absorbs and stores water. A vegetation mat(40) is planted with bryophyte on the surface. The vegetation mat is laminated to touch one side of the water absorber on the rear side, and supplies water absorbed and stored in the water absorber to the surface. A fixing net(80) is installed on the surface of the vegetation mat so as to prevent bryophyte planted on the vegetation mat from dropping out. Multiple vegetation blocks are arranged on a building to the width and lengthwise, and planted with bryophyte. An irrigation device supplies water necessary for the growth of the bryophyte planted on the vegetation block. An insulating material is laminated on the other side of the vegetation blocks so as to be interposed between the building and the vegetation blocks. The insulating material has grooves in which the vegetation blocks are inserted.
