PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing unneeded discoloration by preventing contact of a water absorbing polymer with an indicator part while maintaining a quick discoloration performance upon urination.SOLUTION: An indicator part 6 to be visually changed by being brought into contact with liquid is disposed between a back surface sheet 2 and an absorber 3, and the absorber 3 includes an absorbent core 4 having a water absorbing polymer and a cover sheet 5 for covering the outer surface of the absorbent core 4. In the width direction cross-sectional view of the absorber 3, the cover sheet 5 includes a bag-like part 51 for covering the absorbent core 4 from a skin contact surface side to a skin non-contact surface side, and a closed port part 52 connected to the bag-like part 51 and positioned on the outer side.
