Provided is a technology which makes it possible to connect a disposable endoscope (single-use endoscope) to an existing endoscope system (existing processor) so that the disposable endoscope can be used without increasing the cost thereof. The present disclosure discloses (see Fig. 1) a relay adapter for connecting a processor and an endoscope device, the relay adapter being provided with: a first connector portion for connecting an endoscope device; a second connector portion for connecting a processor; a storage portion for storing a program for controlling the operation of the relay adapter; and a control portion which reads the program from the storage portion and executes the program.
