The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for oral administration comprising dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker, such as nisoldipine and one or more release controlling polymer, which is selected from various hydrophilic polymers or combinations thereof. The said polymer is present at a concentration of about 1% to about 60% by weight of the tablet, preferably from about 10% to about 40% by weight of the tablet. The said formulation may also contain one or more adjuvants, which, in combination with the polymeric materials, may help to further modulate the release of nisoldipine.La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique pour administration orale, comprenant un inhibiteur calcique dihydropyridine, comme la nisoldipine et un ou plusieurs polymères de contrôle de libération, qui est/sont sélectionné(s) parmi divers polymères hydrophiles ou des combinaisons de ceux-ci. Ledit polymère est présent à une concentration denviron 1% à environ 60% en poids du comprimé, de préférence denviron 10% à environ 40% en poids du comprimé. Ladite formulation peut également contenir un ou plusieurs adjuvants, qui, en association avec les matières polymères, permettent daider à continuer de moduler la libération de nisoldipine.
