The present invention related to an improved method of producing a compressed product containing isomalt having a volume mean diameter preferably not smaller than 250 µm. The method is based upon agglomeration and the volume mean diameter of the agglomerate is reduced to smaller than 210 µm before compressing the product. Chewable tablets of acceptable hardness are obtained.La présente invention concerne un procédé amélioré de production d’un produit compressé contenant de l’isomalt ayant un diamètre moyen en volume de préférence supérieur ou égal à 250 μm. Le procédé est basé sur l’agglomération et le diamètre moyen en volume de l’agglomérat est réduit à moins de 210 μm avant compression du produit. Des comprimés à croquer de dureté acceptable sont obtenus.
