PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet sterilization apparatus capable of uniformly applying ultraviolet rays to the outer surface of an object for sterilization.SOLUTION: An ultraviolet sterilization apparatus 1 includes: a sterilization chamber 2 an ultraviolet irradiation part 3 and a mounting table 4. The ultraviolet irradiation part 3 is provided in the sterilization chamber 2 to irradiate an object M1 for sterilization with ultraviolet rays. The mounting table 4 is provided in the sterilization chamber 2 and the object M1 for sterilization is placed therein. The mounting table 4 is formed of a material transmitting ultraviolet rays. The ultraviolet irradiation part 3 is disposed in such a way as to enclose the mounting table 4.
