PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod storage bag allowing a user to use the fishing rod storage bag in fishing operation easily without the slipping of a hand holding a fishing rod and capable of preventing attachment of residues of bait cakes to the fishing rod or a reel by making simple modification such as attaching a first slip stopper to the fishing rod storage bag.SOLUTION: A fishing rod inserting opening 2A is formed at one end of a bag body 2 of the fishing rod storage bag A, and the fishing rod 1 can be inserted into the rod storage space inside the bag through the opening 2A. The end of the bag body 2 opposite in the axial direction from the end where the opening 2A is formed is closed.
