PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the complete loss of medical inspection data or the like generated by a medical diagnostic apparatus with the recording capacity of a recording medium used.SOLUTION: The medical inspection data storage device includes a storage unit to preserve medical inspection data, a recording unit to record the data in a recording medium, an editing prohibition unit to take measures against editing the contents of recording medium, and a record information storing unit. The record information storing unit stores the data already recorded in a recording medium with editing prohibition measures taken for, together with a record information showing "recorded and editing prohibition measures taken", while this unit stores the data that are already recorded in a recording medium without any editing prohibition measures taken for, together with a record information showing "already recorded".
