PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower jaw retainer of a corpse, a retainer that can be used despite an individual body difference and that also facilitates installation, and to provide a set of the lower jaw retainer of a corpse.SOLUTION: When a retainer body 2L and an additional member 11 are connected by fitting the recess 13 of the additional member 11 to the projection 9 of the retainer body 2L, a rod-like section 3L can be extended. Also, the lower jaw retainer 1 of a corpse can vary the length by exchanging the retainer bodies 2L, 2M, 2S of different lengths. When the exchangeable end part 15 at one tip end side of the lower jaw retainer 1a of a corpse is exchanged with an exchangeable end part 21, the other end side of the retainer 1 can be used as an abutment section 23 having a flat end face 24.
