A system is described for characterizing living or reconstituted tissues, in particular cutaneous appendages such as nails and the like or structures associated therewith, comprising: - a plurality of supports (12a- 12c) for a cutaneous appendage (N) under test, each of which is adapted to form at least one point of support of the cutaneous appendage (N) when this is subjected to application of a predetermined characterizing force an image acquisition device (20) of the cutaneous appendage (N) under test, adapted to acquire a plurality of successive images over time representative of the geometric configuration of the cutaneous appendage (N) and a processing unit (30) coupled to the image acquisition device (20) and adapted to correlate the acquired images representative of the geometric configuration of the cutaneous appendage (N) with the characterizing forces applied.La présente invention concerne un système de caractérisation de tissus vivants ou reconstitués, en particulier des appendices cutanés tels que les ongles et équivalents ou des structures associées à ceux-ci, comprenant : - une pluralité de supports (12a - 12c) pour un appendice cutané (N) testé, chacun dentre eux étant adapté à former au moins un point de support de lappendice cutané (N) lorsque celui-ci est soumis à lapplication dune force de caractérisation prédéterminée un dispositif dacquisition dimage (20) de lappendice cutané (N) testé, adapté à acquérir une pluralité dimages successives dans le temps représentant la configuration géométrique de lappendice cutané (N) et une unité de traitement (30) couplée au dispositif dacquisition dimages (20) et adaptée à corréler les images acquises représentant la configuration géométrique de lappendice cutané (N) avec les forces de caractérisation appliquées.
