PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a sustained release granule containing theobromine is provided to effectively relieve or treat cough by administering once a day. CONSTITUTION: A sustained release granule of theobromine comprises a water insoluble polymer, an inner layer formed of lubricant, and an external layer formed of hydrophilic polymers and pharmaceutically acceptable additives. A method for manufacturing the granule comprises: a step of inputting 800 weight parts of theobromine powder into a coating device； a step of spraying a primary coating solution containing 100-200 weight parts of water insoluble polymers, 8-16 weight parts of lubricant, and 1700-3200 weight parts of dispersion solvent to coat the inner layer； and a step of spraying a secondary coating solution containing 30-50 weight parts of hydrophilic polymers, 1500-1700 weight parts of pharmaceutically acceptable additives, and 600-700 weight parts of dispersion solvent to coat the external layer.본 발명은 테오브로민 함유 서방성 과립제 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 좀더 상세히 설명하면, 테오브로민의 분말상 코어(Core)에, 수불용성 중합체와 활택제로 이루어진 내부층과, 친수성 중합체와 약제학적으로 허용 가능한 첨가제로 이루어진 외부층이 순차적으로 유동층 코팅되어 있어서, 1일 1회 복용하고, 특히 소아나 노인 환자들의 복용 순응도를 크게 향상 시킬 수 있는 테오브로민의 서방성 과립제 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
