The compositions and methods provide a pluhpotent milieu for the de-novogeneration of renal tubular structures in the replacement of diseased kidneytissue. The processes and devices are useful in the treatment of medical conditionsand diseases relating to the kidneys such as trauma, necrosis, and both acuteand chronic forms of renal failure.
