Disclosed are an apparatus for accurately measuring biological components by using a unit component spectrum reflecting characteristics of a user and a method thereof. According to an embodiment, the apparatus comprises: a spectrum data acquisition part irradiating light to skin of a user and detecting reflected light to acquire spectrum data of the user； and a processing part which extracts user characteristic signal data from the spectrum data acquired by using a background signal and a first unit component spectrum, and updates a first unit component spectrum based on the user characteristic signal data to generate a second unit component spectrum personalized for the user.생체 성분 측정 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따르면, 장치는 사용자의 피부에 광을 조사하고 반사되는 광을 검출하여 사용자의 스펙트럼 데이터를 획득하는 스펙트럼 데이터 획득부 및 배경 신호 및 제1 단위 성분 스펙트럼을 이용하여 획득된 스펙트럼 데이터로부터 사용자 특성 신호 데이터를 추출하고, 사용자 특성 신호 데이터를 기초로 제1 단위 성분 스펙트럼을 갱신하여, 사용자에 대하여 개인화된 제2 단위 성분 스펙트럼을 생성하는 처리부를 포함할 수 있다.
