The present invention relates to a serum-free solution for cryopreservation of hepatocyte and a method for cryopreservation of hepatocyte using the same. The solution includes a histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutaric acid (HTK) solution, dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), and human serum albumin, has extremely high survival rate and adhesion rate without addition of fetal bovine serum (FBS), and has high albumin synthesis rate. Therefore, the solution does not need a refining process needed when a serum is included, to be used immediately after thaw, and can remove risk of unnecessary pathogen infection during freezing and thawing.본 발명은 간세포 동결 보존용 무혈청 용액 및 이를 이용한 간세포 동결 보존방법에 관한 것으로, HTK(히스티딘-트립토판-케토글루타르산) 용액, 디메틸 설폭사이드(DMSO), 및 인간 혈청 알부민을 포함하며, 우태아혈청(FBS)을 첨가하지 않고도 매우 높은 생존율 및 부착율을 나타내며 높은 알부민 합성율을 나타낸다. 따라서 혈청이 포함될 경우 필요한 정제과정이 불필요하여 해동 후 바로 사용가능하며, 냉동 및 해동 중 불필요한 병원체 감염의 위험을 없앨 수 있다.
