PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seating/standing assist apparatus which is light in weight and freely movable, and enables stable seating and standing motions with a sense of security.SOLUTION: A seating/standing assist apparatus 1 comprises a base frame 2, support frames 4 erected on the base frame 2, and lift guides 5 fixed to the support frames 4. A lift frame 6 is attached to the lift guide 5 in a vertically movable manner through a lift rail part 11. A lift bar 9 is fixed to the upper end part of the lift frame 6, and a grip 7 is fixed to the lower end part. An electric linear actuator 14 is disposed between the support frame 4 and the lift bar 9. The support frames 4 and the like are disposed in a pair at the left and right sides across a care-receiver 10. The care-receiver 10 holds the grips 7 so as to hold the lift bars 9. The care-receiver 10 is lifted when the linear actuators 14 raise the lift bars 9, and thereby a standing motion is assisted.
