The invention relates to a method for administration of at leastone pharmaceutical agent to a patient who depends on the administrationof said agent or agents, comprising:(a) the application of at least one transdermal therapeutic systemcontaining a first pharmaceutical agent for the transdermaladministration of said agent during a predeterminable period and(b) the application of at least one wafer at the beginning orduring the period of the transdermal administration, whereby thewafer contains the same agent or a second or further agentssuitable for the same indication as the first agent.
