PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing calcium carbonate apatite which provides calcium carbonate apatite containing strontium in an arbitrary ratio, with high purity, and is simple and good in productivity and a method of producing a fine particle of calcium carbonate apatite containing strontium which is suitable for coating applications.SOLUTION: A method of producing calcium carbonate apatite containing strontium comprises mixing an aqueous solution containing a strontium salt and a calcium salt with an aqueous solution containing a phosphate to synthesize hydrogenphosphate and mixing the obtained hydrogenphosphate with 0.2 molar ratio or more of a carbonate or 0.4 molar ratio or more of hydrogencarbonate.
