Provided is an ophthalmologic apparatus capable of measuring a refractive state in a state where a pupil diameter dimension varies with respect to an eye to be examined, the ophthalmologic apparatus including a measurement optical system (30) capable of measuring distribution of an optical characteristic within a pupil diameter of the eye to be examined, the ophthalmologic apparatus comprising visible light illuminating means (80) for illuminating the eye to be examined with visible light along an optical axis of the measurement optical system (30). The visible light illuminating means is configured to be capable of changing an illuminating light intensity in a range including at least from a light intensity capable of exposing the eye to be examined to brightness equivalent to that in a nighttime environment to a light intensity capable of exposing the eye to be examined to brightness equivalent to that in a daytime environment, and the measurement optical system (30) is capable of measuring the distribution of the optical characteristic of the eye to be examined which is illuminated by the visible light illuminating means (80) with the brightness equivalent to that in the nighttime environment and is also capable of measuring the distribution of the optical characteristic of the eye to be examined which is illuminated by the visible light illuminating means (80) with the brightness equivalent to that in the daytime environment.
