PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately display tension when acquiring a relationship between a thread length and a spool rotation number.SOLUTION: The tension display device 8 comprises a display 61, a torque detecting current detection part 66a, a spool sensor 63, a memory 67, and a tension display part 73. The tension display part comprises a relationship storage part 74, a readout part 75, a thread-winding diameter calculation part 76, and a tension calculation part 77. When acquiring the relationship by using the relationship storage part, the readout part sequentially reads out a reference thread length corresponding to the spool rotation number X which is detected by the spool sensor from the memory. The thread-winding diameter calculation part sequentially calculates a thread-winding diameter from the spool rotation number and the reference thread length which are read out by the readout part, and the spool rotation number and the reference thread length which are read out in advance. The tension calculation part calculates the tension from torque detected by the current detection part and the calculated thread-winding diameter.
