The present invention relates to the field of biofertilization. Biofertilizers are, an alternative to harmful agrochemicals, that enhances soil and environmental quality thereby increasing soil fertility and subsequently enhanced crop production. The plant productivity is maintained through optimization of the benefits from all possible sources of organic, inorganic and biological components in an integrated manner. Biofertilizer capsule of the invention comprises effective amount of at least one agriculturally important microorganism and one or more carrier materials. The agriculturally important microorganisms are selected from the group of nitrogen fixing bacteria, phosphate solubilising bacteria and potassium mobilising bacteria. The nitrogen fixing bacteria are selected from efficient bacterial genus of Azospirillum, Azotobacter and Rhizobium. The Phosphate solubilizing bacteria are selected from efficient bacterial genus of Pseudomonas and Bacillus. The potassium mobilising bacteria are selected from efficient bacterial genus of Frateuria and Bacillus. Process for preparation of Biofertilizer composition comprising: (a) inoculum preparation with selected agriculturally important microorganisms (b) inoculating with inoculum of step (a) into the culture media in small flask to prepare the starter culture (c) the starter culture of step (b) is inoculated into the culture media in larger flask or fermentor and incubated to obtain the cells of agriculturally important microorganisms (d) then harvested cells of effective bacterial strains of at least one of agriculturally important microorganisms is granulated by mixing with one or more of carrier material to obtain the granules and (e) the granules at step (d) are filled aseptically into the capsules to form Biofertilizer capsule and packaged in blister package form.La présente invention concerne le domaine de la biofertilisation.
