CONSTITUTION: A food composition for treating lipid metabolic diseases contains a Salicornia herbacea L. extract, a Patrinia scabiosaefolia extract, or a mixture thereof as an active ingredient. The lipid metabolic diseases are obesity, hyperlipidemia, arteriosclerosis, or fatty liver. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating the lipid metabolic diseases contains the Salicornia herbacea L. extract, the Patrinia scabiosaefolia extract, or a mixture thereof as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using a polar solvent or a non-polar solvent.본 발명은 함초(Salicorniaherbacea L.) 추출물, 패장(Patrinia scabiosaefolia) 추출물 또는 이의 혼합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 지질 대사 질환 개선용 식품 조성물 및 약제학적 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조성물은 체지방 및 중성지방을 감소시킬 수 있으며, 동맥경화에 대한 위험성을 감소도 감소시킨다. 본 발명의 조성물을 통해 지질 대사 질환을 개선하여 심혈관계질환 및 당뇨를 예방 할 수 있다.
