PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide incense which is produced from an incense material and does not degrade, and to provide a method for producing this incense.SOLUTION: The invention provides incense comprising: wrapping paper 12 which contains a carbon component and is added with beeswax and an incense material 14 wrapped in by the wrapping paper 12. Burning of the wrapping paper 12 is followed by burning of the incense material 14. Thereby, slow burning of the wrapping paper 12 is followed by the steady burning of the incense material 14.
