PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent VAP (ventilator-associated pneumonia) caused by insufficient cuff pressure or the like of a cuff, and prevent VAP caused by wrinkles or the like formed in an outer circumferential surface of an unused cuff.SOLUTION: A control part 111 controls a cuff pressure adjustment part 120 to put cuff pressure of the cuff 10 within a prescribed range based on a detection result by a cuff pressure detection part 113, and informs abnormality when the cuff pressure has not reached in the prescribed range within prescribed time. Immediately after installation of the cuff, the control part 111 detects inner pressure of the cuff by the cuff pressure detection part 113, and when the detected inner pressure of the cuff is less than first pressure that is smaller than proper pressure, it controls the cuff pressure adjusting part 120 to set the maximum pressure of the inner pressure of the cuff at second pressure that is greatly larger than the proper pressure.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】カフのカフ圧の不足等に起因した人工呼吸器関連肺炎の予防及び未使用のカフの外周面にできているしわ等に起因したVAPの予防を図ること。【解決手段】制御部111は、カフ圧検出部113による検出結果に基き、カフ10のカフ圧が所定の範囲になるようにカフ圧調整部120を制御し、カフ圧が所定時間内に所定の範囲にならないときには異常を報知する。また、カフの装着直後に、制御部111は、カフ圧検出部113によりカフの内圧を検出し、検出したカフの内圧が、適正圧力よりも小さい第1の圧力以下であるときには、カフの内圧の最大圧力が適正圧力を大きく超える第2の圧力になるようにカフ圧調整部120を設定する。【選択図】図2
