The present invention relates to an alpha-isoform selective phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in methods of treating or preventing a proliferative disease in a patient in need thereof by orally administering a therapeutically effective amount of said compound for at least two five-consecutive day cycles, wherein said compound is not administered to the patient for a period of about two days to about three days between said five-consecutive day cycles.La présente invention concerne un composé inhibiteur de la phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase sélectif de lisoforme alpha de formule (I) ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci destiné à être utilisé dans des méthodes de traitement ou de prévention dune maladie proliférative chez un patient qui en a besoin en administrant par voie orale une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace dudit composé pendant au moins deux cycles de 5 jours consécutifs, ledit composé nétant pas administré au patient pendant une période denviron deux jours à environ trois jours entre lesdits cycles de cinq jours consécutifs.
