The application relates to a two-part overlapping dressing for securing a cannula during intravenous catheterization on the skin surface of a patient. The dressing comprises a first flexible adhesive sheet (10) provided with an opening (16) spaced from all its peripheral edges； and a second flexible adhesive sheet (12). The opening (16) in the first sheet comprises a slit (18), one end of which terminates in an enlarged aperture (20). The second sheet (12) is dimensioned such that, when it is aligned with and adhered against the first sheet (10) in use, it is capable of overlapping the full length of the slit (18) so as to reduce the opening (16) to the size of the enlarged aperture (20). The apparatus allows for a more secure fitting of the cannula whilst minimising the risk of infection.L'invention concerne un pansement se chevauchant en deux parties permettant de fixer une canule pendant la cathétérisation intraveineuse sur la surface de la peau d'un patient. Le pansement comprend une première feuille adhésive flexible (10) pourvue d'une ouverture (16) espacée de tous ses bords périphériques et d'une seconde feuille adhésive souple (12). L'ouverture (16) dans la première feuille comprend une fente (18), dont une extrémité se termine dans une ouverture agrandie (20). La seconde feuille (12) est dimensionnée de sorte que, lorsqu'elle est alignée à la première feuille (10) et collée sur cette dernière en utilisation, elle est en mesure de chevaucher la totalité de la longueur de la fente (18) de manière à réduire l'ouverture (16) à la taille de l'ouverture agrandie (20). L'appareil permet une fixation plus sûre de la canule tout en minimisant le risque d'infection.
