A work machine is provided with a fuel tank 40 in the rear section of a traveling machine body, and a refueling assistance stand 7 on which it is possible to place a refueling container, said refueling assistance stand 7 being located at the back of the fuel tank 40. The refueling assistance stand 7 is structured such that it is possible to change mounting positions on the traveling machine body between a usage orientation, in which a placement surface faces up, and a storage orientation, in which the placement surface is positioned in a location facing the back wall of the fuel tank 40.
