The present invention relates to an anti-Hepatitis B virus (HPV) composition comprising ciclopirox or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof； a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating HBV-induced diseases, comprising ciclopirox or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof； a treatment method for HBV-induced diseases, comprising the step of administering the pharmaceutical composition to a subject； and a functional health food composition for preventing or alleviating HBV-induced diseases, comprising ciclopirox or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof. The present invention newly identifies the potential of ciclopirox to inhibit HBV, and thus can provide a therapeutic agent which can overcome the problem associated with monotherapy of existing drugs in use being unable to eliminate cccDNA, and can also effectively eliminate HBV by blocking core assembly in the virus lifecycle.
