A cartridge assembly for an auto-injector is disclosed comprising a flexible container (108) containing a liquid medicament (110), a needle hub (140) connected to the flexible container (108) and a needle (144) attached to and extending proximally from the needle hub (140). A frame (154) is connected to the needle hub (140) and includes a proximal end (156) that extends beyond the end (158) of the needle (144). The needle hub (140) and needle (144) are displaceable relative to the frame (158) in a proximal direction to insert the needle (144) into a patient.
