PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely connect an ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus body and a probe without causing erroneous recognition for radio-transmitting a transmission signal related to an ultrasonic echo from an ultrasonic probe to the body.
SOLUTION: This ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus 2 includes a second ID storage section 37 storing a plurality of probe ID information pieces and an ID determination section 422, and the ultrasonic probe 1 includes a first ID storage section 19 storing its own inherent ID information and an ID checking section 222. Prior to ultrasonic imaging, a first radio communication section 17 of the ultrasonic probe 1 transmits probe ID information stored in the first ID storage section 19 to second radio communication means 31 by radio communication, and the ID determination section 422 determines whether or not the probe ID information matching the probe ID information received by the second radio communication means 31 is stored in the second ID storage section 37.
