PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC power supply device for an electromagnet which can limit the ripple current ratio within an acceptable range even if a current value changes.SOLUTION: A DC power supply device comprises: a chopper circuit 2 for switching and driving a current from a power supply 1 to output it a passive filter 3 for smoothing the output from the chopper circuit and a current control circuit 5 for controlling the switching and driving so that the output current corresponds to a current command value VS. The current control circuit 5 has: deviation component calculation portions (54 to 56) for calculating a deviation component S56 of output current S42 from a current command value VS ripple component calculation portions (51 to 53) for calculating a ripple component S53 from a voltage value S41 and a drive control signal generation portions (57 to 59) for generating a gate signal SG to control the switching and driving, based on the ripple component S53 and deviation component S56.
